On Saturday, June 1, we stood at the crossroads of thrift and pop culture as the West Markham Goodwill store was transformed into a full-blown concert venue to host the world premiere of the song and music video, "Take Me Thriftin.'" Viral internet sensations, Toasters ‘N’ Moose, appeared live and played a 30-minute song set including fan-favorite “Taste the Biscuit.” Along with the creator of Toasters ‘N’ Moose, Vincent Gargiulo, the viral internet musical duo greeted fans from as far as Florida, Tennessee, Texas and and throughout the state of Arkansas. The first 200 attendees were treated to biscuits and honey sauce provided by Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Capi Peck, Little Rock City Director, Ward 4, also read a proclamation from the Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr., proclaiming June 1 as Toasters ‘N’ Moose Day in Little Rock. As stated, "I urge all citizens to join me in recognizing the positive impact of thrifting, sustainability, community education, training, reentry, and career services, as promoted by Toasters 'N' Moose and Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. Let us celebrate and support their efforts to create a more sustainable, educated, and economically empowered community." It was a great day to be a fan of Toasters 'N' Moose and Goodwill.
