In this course, students will review the electrical trade’s dynamics and history. They will gain an understanding of the electrical industry and the basic concepts needed to become an electrician. This course emphasizes safety in the field and outlines all the strict safety protocols electricians must adhere to. Students will learn electrical theory and gain a basic understanding of circuits and the methods used for calculating the electrical energy within them. Students will learn how to use wire ways, raceways and basic fittings. They will learn about conductors and cables and begin training on hand-bending cables and device boxes.
