HVAC

This course reviews the HVAC trade and introduces students to basic HVAC systems. The course covers the basic principles of heating, ventilating and air conditioning. It also describes career opportunities in this and other related fields. Students will learn the basics of cooling and heating elements and air distribution systems, describing the factors related to air movement and its measurement in standard air distribution systems. In this course, students will learn basic copper and plastic piping practices, an introduction to trade mathematics, soldering and brazing. Students will perform tasks on live air system units and receive hands-on training they can use in the field.
