Meet Our Co-Chairs

DSC07503.png

Our 2nd Annual Gala for Good Co-Chairs are longtime friends of Goodwill, Elizabeth and Tom Small. Through their work, they are committed to improving education and employment opportunities in our community.

"Sharing Goodwill's mission and purpose is truly fun! I love taking co-workers, business owners, and friends to the Goodwill campus for a tour of the Excel Center and the Academy," said Elizabeth Small. "Everyone at Goodwill is willing to form positive education and workforce partnerships which makes all of Arkansas stronger. Goodwill's operations are good for the environment, good for job creation, and good for the (my) soul!"

Elizabeth has been a member of the Goodwill Board of Directors since 2021 and currently serves as Vice-Chair. In her role as the Director of Business Networks at UA Little Rock and the Instructor of Real Estate Development in the School of Business Economics/Finance Department, she identifies business partnership opportunities, designs continuing education business programs, and develops public presentations highlighting the work of university faculty, students, and graduates. Elizabeth has 32 years of experience in the real estate development, management, and commercial construction industries. She is currently on the Hendrix College Board of Trustees, a member of the International Women’s Forum and a mentor in the Venture Center’s WomanAcheive Program. She has played an active role in civic leadership, serving as president of the Rotary Club of Little Rock, chairman of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, and president of Fifty for the Future.

Tom Small has 40 years of experience in real estate and finance. Having retired from Bank OZK as a Senior Appraisal Services Officer, he is currently a business advisor in the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses program where he provides guidance for business owners as part of the Goldman Sachs Babson College program. Additionally, he is an adjunct real estate appraisal professor at UA Little Rock School of Business. Tom is currently on the board of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre. He has also served on the boards of First United Methodist Church Trustees, Hendrix College Alumni Board, Little Rock Westside YMCA, Trinity United Methodist Trustees, and Wildwood Park for the Arts. He has been involved with the American Field Service (AFS) Exchange Student Program and is a former member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Little Rock.
