How New Tax Law Changes Affect your Vehicle Donation
Beginning January 1, 2005, donors who itemize their taxes will no longer carry the burden of determining the deductible value for their donation. Instead, they will be allowed to deduct the gross proceeds from the sale of their donated vehicle.
Goodwill Industries of Arkansas, Inc. will provide the donor with a written acknowledgement detailing the gross proceeds of the sale within 30 days of the vehicle being sold. Donors are encouraged to speak to their tax advisors about this new tax law change.
