Make a Fresh Start by Donating to Goodwill at Pleasant Ridge Town Center This Spring

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Goodwill Industries of Arkansas and Pleasant Ridge Town Center encourage people to clean out their closets and make a fresh start this spring. Donors can set aside clothing and other small household goods that they no longer need and donate them to Goodwill at Pleasant Ridge Town Center’s Donation Drive. From April 1 to 8, you can drop off your gently used items at Pleasant Ridge Town Center’s participating stores.

“We are excited to host a Goodwill donation drive at the Pleasant Ridge Town Center,” said Lou Schickel, Owner of Pleasant Ridge Town Center. “Not only does Goodwill provide jobs and training for Arkansans in need, it keeps tons of usable items out of the landfill while giving our customers a convenient place to bring donations while doing their spring cleaning,” added Schickel.

Donations will be sold in local Goodwill stores, and the revenue generated will fund jobs, job training programs and education services for individuals looking for employment. For 90 years, Goodwill Industries of Arkansas has been changing lives through education, training and employment. Job seekers can visit Goodwill Career Centers and can receive career counseling, computer training, resume and interview advice, help with their job search, assistance with job training programs (varies by location) and more. Last year alone, Goodwill helped over 4,500 Arkansans obtain good jobs with businesses across the state.

Goodwill operates a triple bottom line of People, Planet and Prosperity. The positive impact of diverting goods that might ordinarily wind up in landfills, helps us meet our mission. Last year, Goodwill accepted over 27,000,000 pounds of donations.

“When you donate to Goodwill, you have a direct, positive impact on the lives of your neighbors,” said Brian Itzkowitz, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. “With your generosity, we are able to provide jobs, job training programs and career services to help Arkansans gain education and skills so that they can find jobs in our local communities. Together, we can help them build their careers and brighter futures for their families, and, ultimately, our communities.”

Pleasant Ridge Town Center is located at 11525 Cantrell Road in Little Rock. The following stores will be participating in the donation drive:
