Goodwill Industries of Arkansas will open the new Fort Smith Goodwill store at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 14. The grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 8:45 a.m. The store is located at 3225 S. 74th St.
The new Goodwill store will offer reasonably priced clothes, shoes, handbags and other accessories, housewares, books, linens, game and athletic equipment, furniture and much more. During the grand opening weekend, shoppers can take advantage of a coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase and $15 off a $50 purchase. The coupon is good from Thursday, July 14 to Sunday, July 17. In addition, shoppers can register for door prizes.
“We are excited to welcome the Fort Smith community to the grand opening of our new retail store,” said Goodwill President and CEO Brian Itzkowitz. “We look forward to welcoming shoppers and the business community for a tour of the new store. In addition, the Fort Smith store will have a career center with a career specialist on site who will help people find jobs. The career center is also a place for training, education and career readiness preparation.”
Itzkowitz said “Our social enterprise is ‘Donate, Shop, Change a Life!’ When you donate to Goodwill and shop at Goodwill, you help us fulfill our mission of helping Arkansans train for and get good jobs.”
This is the second Goodwill location in Fort Smith. The original store and donation center is located at 3610 Towson Ave #7.
