Goodwill Industries of Arkansas Partners with Fox 16 to Host Central Arkansas Job Fair
More than 1,000 Job Seekers Expected to Meet with More than 50 Employers

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas and KLRT Fox 16 are partnering to host the Fox 16 Job Alert and Goodwill Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Thurs., May 5. More than 50 employers will have booths available for job seekers to learn about and interview for available positions.

“Last year, we had more than 40 employers participate in this event, and we want people looking for work to have an opportunity to meet with employers at a central location,” said Staci Croom-Raley, vice president of workforce development with Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. “KLRT Fox 16 has been a wonderful advocate for job seekers throughout the state with its Job Alert feature as well as a partner with Goodwill in helping people find and get good jobs.”

Employers participating in the event include the Arkansas State Police, City of Little Rock, Dassault Falcon Jet, Verizon Wireless, Union Pacific, Primerica and Ben E. Keith, among others. War Memorial Stadium, which is on a bus route and accessible by car, bicycle and foot, has on-site parking on the northwest side of the stadium. Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and be prepared to interview with employers during the event. Those attending the Fox 16 Job Alert and Goodwill Job Fair also should bring a photo ID to the event.

“KLRT wants to invest in our community by making it as easy and convenient as possible for our viewers looking for work to find and get employment,” said Austin Kellerman, news director of Fox 16. “Goodwill is dedicated to helping people in need in Arkansas reach their fullest potential. It makes sense for us to work together to help Arkansans find and obtain employment right for them.”

The Fox 16 Job Alert and Goodwill Job Fair is part of Goodwill Week, a national celebration which takes place the first full week of May every year and is dedicated to raising awareness and educating the public about Goodwill Industries of Arkansas’ life-changing mission. Last year, Goodwill Industries of Arkansas served more than 17,000 people and placed more than 4,700 individuals into employment.
