It’s beginning to look a lot like spring, and you may have caught the bug to clean out your closets, drawers and garage. But, where to start?
Goodwill Industries of Arkansas has a plan. For one week during March, follow our 7 Days of Spring Cleaning Guide to unclutter your closet, kitchen, garage, attic, bedroom, office and den. One day one: clear your closet. Day two: tackle the kitchen. Day three: sort through holiday décor and donate what you no longer want or use. Day five: organize your office. Day six: earmark for Goodwill entertainment you no longer use. Day seven: downsize your bookshelf.
“When you clear clutter and donate to Goodwill, you help us fulfill our mission of helping Arkansans train for and compete for good jobs,” said Brian Itzkowitz, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. “In 2015, Goodwill diverted more than 20 million pounds from Arkansas landfills. That’s local impact.”
After following the 7 Days of Spring Cleaning Guide, you can take the items you no longer need, want or use to Goodwill. Donating is easy and convenient. Simply load your donations into your car or truck, drive up to any Goodwill donation center, pop your trunk, and Goodwill’s team members will take care of the rest. You’ll get a cleaner, more spacious home, a tax receipt for your donations, and a huge sense of accomplishment in helping yourself and neighbors in your community.
