Provides job training and job readiness instruction to all GIA program participants with an understood goal of future competitive employment success. Position requires a broad knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and support service assistance for participants in all adult training and day programs, including work assessment, work activity, and extended services. Assists division leadership with supervision of program participants to help participants develop knowledge and skills leading to attainment of self-sufficient employment. Works to achieve program goals and performance standards leading to national and state accreditation.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must posses critical thinking skills, close mental demand and knowledge of alphanumeric data entry, data management, spreadsheet, word processing/typing, basic: 10-key, database, and presentation/PowerPoint.
Bachelor's degree. Preferred education and experience 2+ years. Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Job Coach, Supported Employment Specialist.
This Position requires the employee to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and (or) move up to 50 pounds.
