Individuals who have completed the Assessment or Work Adjustment programs and have been approved for continued programming by the referring counselor are eligible for Extended Services. The purpose of the Extended Services program is to provide additional training to individuals who appear to be employable and who are presently in need of continued services to reach their maximum potential. Individuals entering the program must meet certain Title XX eligibility requirements and be available to work through more intensive job readiness and skills building activities. The Extended Services program time runs through the duration of the remaining 12 months after Work Adjustment is completed.
While in the program, job coaches guide consumers to place emphasis on learning job retention skills, developing interpersonal relationships, understanding money management, and pursuing additional vocational goals as determined by individual need and interest.
