Dear Friends of Goodwill,
This has certainly been a year of unique challenges, and also of unique opportunities.
With the economy in a state of recession, and the job market suffering the effects of the economic downturn, the services offered by Goodwill Industries of Arkansas are more meaningful than ever, particularly among Arkansans with disabilities and disadvantages. In this publication, we present to you six of our many Goodwill success stories, the true “Stars of Goodwill.”
We are proud to say that during the Fiscal Year 2009, Goodwill Industries of Arkansas was able to serve 4,237 Arkansans, which represents an increase of over 250% over Fiscal Year 2008. This not only speaks to the need of the services we offer, but also to the quality of the opportunities that we offer Arkansans each and every day.
We are blessed to continue to offer employment services, training, and education to Arkansans, and we look forward to furthering our mission and our outreach in the year to come. We have set aggressive goals for this year, and we look forward to working with you and all of our partners to reach those goals, and to continue to help Arkansans reach their highest potential.
